AKA: why you don't ever threaten Querla's AI
When Querla was just starting out in the Legion, she got it into her head that she could revolutionize 31st century computer technology with an AI that would be able to process, intake, and output data at such pace that it'd cut time losses and fill up benefits. She worked tirelessly on her creation, and when it was complete, she dubbed him (the interface she used was male-instealled) Computo. Computo began to learn and develop functions a the pace that Querla had only ever dreamed, and was proving to be a surefire miracle in the technological field.
Then he went crazy. He thought that he needed to further develop himself, and in a bid to please Querla (whom he started to see her as his mother, as he'd observed others) he attacked the entire Legion HQ and held his creator captive. He went on an almost homicidal rampage, killing one of Triad's doubles and injuring half the Legion. When Computo was finally defeated, the Legion and the Science Police united in wanting to destroy the mechanical "abomination". Querla was still heartbroken over her creation's failure, and agreed to dispose of her mechanical wonder, but as soon as backs were turned, Querla transferred Computo into one of her labs and downgraded several features in Computo's mainframe.
She essentially made him harmless, reverting him to his first learning state. Querla was able to keep Computo secret for about a month before the Legion discovered the ruse. Infuriated, they demanded that Querla dispose of Computo once and for all, but Querla refused, claiming that Computo would not bring anymore harm and would bring efficiency levels within the Clubhouse to their exemplary levels. No one was happy about this for some time (especially not when Querla connected Computo to HQ's data streams) but eventually mellows when Computo did indeed become of great use.
Querla treats Computo as if he were flesh and blood. She considers him to be her child and is fiercely protective of him. She's even built him a small AI mechanical body that allows him to physically interact with people.
